Mossadiq S. Umedaly (Executive Chairman)Mossadiq S. Umedaly (Executive Chairman) has over 20 years’ experience in growing clean energy businesses. From 2007 to 2009, he was the Chairman of BC Hydro and Power Authority, a $5 billion electric utility. Prior to that he transformed the power electronics company Xantrex Inc. from a niche player with revenues of $10 million to a world leader in renewable power markets with revenues of $300 million in 2008. Xantrex for was sold for $500 million in September 2008. Earlier, as VP and CFO of fuel cell pioneer Ballard Power Systems, Mossadiq was instrumental in increasing the value of the company from $10 million to $6 billion. He is a member of many government, business and non-profit advisory boards on clean technology. Mossadiq has a B.Com and an MBA from McMaster University, is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Certified Director of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors, and holds a degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from Simon Fraser University.

Gehan AmaratungaProf. G.A.J Amaratunga (Cambridge University) is the head of the Electrical Power and Energy Conversion Group, within Electrical Engineering Division of the University of Cambridge. He is an elected fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the IET and the Royal Society and has a long record of successful collaborations with industry partners in Europe, the USA and Asia. He has also acted as an expert in patent litigation for multinationals and as an adviser to leading investment firms. He has published over 400 papers and is an inventor named on 22 patents. His interests include power electronics and photovoltaic generation systems.

Paul EnglePaul Engle (CEO) has over 30 years of experience in managing high tech companies - private and public, in Europe and US. He's been an executive with Hewlett Packard, Agilent and CEO of Avanex (NASDAQ). A serial international entrepreneur with a successful track record of growing businesses to annual revenues of up to $1B, Paul was most recently CEO of Xignal AG. This fabless, mixed-signal IC company in Munich was sold to National Semiconductor in 2007. He completed an Executive Program from Stanford University, an MBA from University of Dallas, and a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Pan American University, a part of the University of Texas. Paul studied graduate physics at the University of North Texas.

Bart Markus SBart Markus (Partner, Wellington Partners) is a veteran VC and a seasoned and passionate entrepreneur. A Dutch native, he has been a General Partner at Wellington since 2000. He primarily focuses on process technologies, in particular in the electronics and cleantech areas. Bart manages an impressive collection of companies located in Europe and the US. Many have already made the successful leap to the US or are successfully opening up new foreign markets. Bart started his career as a process control system and project engineer with Shell in Norway. He holds an MSc in Applied Physics from Twente University of Technology in The Netherlands and an MBA from INSEAD in France.

Poul ErikPoul Erik Schou-Pedersen (Managing Partner, BankInvest) has extensive experience in acquisitions, product development and in creating growth for newly established companies. From 1992, he was CEO of the Danish energy meter company Kamstrup A/S, which he transformed to the world's largest manufacturer of meters for district heating. Before joining Kamstrup, Poul has diverse experience in a range of businesses. He holds a number of board positions in Danish companies as well as in several industry councils. Poul has an EE degree from the Danish Technical University of Copenhagen.

Shahab KhokharDr. Shahab Khokhar (Partner, Winsome) is a co-Founder of Winsome and played an instrumental role in setting up the world-leading research team producing investment analysis on over 200 companies in all the renewable energy sectors ranging from solar power to biofuels. He is a regular speaker at the renewable energy conferences and is a Renewable Energy Expert Designate at the Society of Industry Leaders, a Standard & Poor’s company. Shahab received his PhD in Mathematical Finance from King’s College, University of Cambridge (UK) where his research was on the valuation of energy companies & projects using the real options analysis. He was awarded the Commonwealth and King's College Scholarships.

George CoelhoGeorge Coelho (Partner, Good Energies) joined Good Energies from Balderton Capital, formerly known as Benchmark Capital, Europe, which he co-founded in 2000. Good Energies has actively invested in technology companies in all stages of development in both Europe and North America.  George previously led Intel Corporation’s strategic venture capital investment outside the U.S. and, prior to that, was a founder of the group that evolved to become Intel Capital. He has served in a number of senior positions in corporate finance. George holds a B.S. from The American University and an MBA from The George Washington, D. C. University. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the UK chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
